AFC annual Bowls Tournament

Cross-in-Hand Bowls Club was established in 1935 and has to date, 32 current playing members.

AFC joined forces with Cross-in-Hand Bowls Club on Friday 14th September 2018 to face the annual mini tournament bowls challenge once again. Come September, the AFC staff look forward to taking part. AFC has generously sponsored the bowls club for the last five years.

This year it was equally well attended, 16 club members mixed with 16 from AFC playing Triples or Fours over 23 ends. The weather was pleasant, a little cloudy towards the end, but by that time everyone was inside enjoying some jovial banter and a whole lot of pizza, nibbles, wine, and soft drinks. The usual raffle took place at this time with some great prizes.

Last year the Cross-in-Hand Bowls Club were the runners-up in the Horam & District League, this year they were at the top!

This year™s winning team from AFC was Kelly Nash and Graham Smith from AFC together with Stuart and Nigel from the bowls club.

We look forward to taking on the challenge again in September 2019.
