Technical Manager

Simon leads the UK technical team and specialises in the design and development of Smalley wave springs and spiral retaining rings. With over 25 years of experience, Simon develops bespoke parts for major clients around the world and across a wide range of industry sectors. He is now widely considered the leading authority on Smalley products.

Justin Lawrence
Applications Engineer

Justin specialises in the design and sale of wave springs, spiral retaining rings and quick connectors, designing custom products for a range of applications including oil & gas, automotive and medical. Justin has been with AFC for over 20 years, gaining further experience in the mechanical and industrial engineering sector.

Steve Teale
National Key Accounts Director

After graduating in Technical and Information Technology Education from the Opole University of Technology, Alicja started working at TFC, where for 5 years she has been designing wave springs and spiral retaining rings used in many industrial sectors. Alicja especially appreciates cooperation with Polish customers, spreading knowledge about Smalley products and ARaymond quick connectors.

Morgan has led our team to support the successful growth of the AFC Group from 2007, when its turnover was £7.5 m, to £25m when it was acquired by AFC Industries in 2022. An expert in strategic planning, business turnarounds, and performance improvements, Morgan excels in driving revenue growth, leading organisational transformation, and managing end-to-end projects with emotionally intelligent leadership across people, processes, finances, and business partnerships.

With AFC since 2004, Keith is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in sales, procurement, and operations management. He has transformed AFC’s procurement into a strategic value driver and recently advanced to Executive Vice President of AFC Europe. Craig brings 35 years of experience in the fastener industry to AFC. He has strong technical applications and product knowledge, expertise in lean manufacturing techniques, and innovative supply chain solutions. Craig has driven manufacturing changes at major UK OEMs, implementing tailored solutions like JIT, KANBAN, VMI, RFID, and Vending. He excels in VAVE and tear-down projects, standardising products for cost-effective production methods.

Seals & O-Rings Division - General Manager

With 14 years at EAP/TFC, Dean started as an Operations Manager in 2010, became Operations Director within a year, and purchased EAP in 2015. After EAP was acquired by AFC in 2023, he now heads the Seals and O-Rings division. Dean excels in building lasting customer relationships and providing exceptional technical support, drawing from extensive training by Marine Engineers with 175 years of combined experience engineering knowledge and experience.

Brian led AFC to achieve AS9120/AS9100 certification in 2005 and redesigned the AFC 8D process in 2023, showcasing his commitment to process improvement.

Mark Degnan
Business Development Manager

With over 5+ years at TFC, Mark excels in creative, out-of-the-box problem-solving. His strengths include improving processes through vendor consolidation, product rationalisation, and standardisation while providing control and reporting, reducing on-site inventory, and minimising obsolescence. Mark has extensive experience in multinational and multisite account management, customer service management, new product and business development, and general management; responsible for growing sales and margins.

Johannes Lambertz
Dipl. Wirt. - Engineer

As Local Manager, Johannes Lambertz leads the technical team in Germany and specialises in the design and development of Smalley wave springs and retaining rings. He has already developed many customised parts for major customers all over the world and in numerous industries and is considered an expert for Smalley products.
